Crystal Stapley

Crystal Stapley brings over 20 years of expertise in the waste industry, having built her career from the ground up—starting as a heavy equipment operator. Discovering early on that the waste industry was her true professional home, she pursued and earned an A.S. in Environmental & Civil Engineering to deepen her impact. Throughout her career, Crystal has taken on leadership roles across operations, engineering, compliance, and financial performance for a range of regional facilities, including landfills, composting sites, transfer stations, and material recovery facilities (MRFs). Crystal has earned a reputation for her strategic vision and operational excellence. She has successfully negotiated high-value contracts, led cross-functional teams, and implemented EBIT improvement strategies and financial modeling processes that have delivered lasting results. A passionate advocate for workforce development, she has developed and led training programs for equipment operators at organizations including WM, GFL, and others. She is especially dedicated to elevating the importance of frontline work, ensuring operators understand the critical role they play in environmental sustainability and effective waste management.
